The first distinctive character of Merlot Rubicone I.G.P. Sintria is the actual blend, made up of 100% Merlot, without the addition of any other variety, and this very characteristic has strongly influenced the specific choices adopted for the vinification and aging process. In fact, the oenologists have literally put themselves at the service of the Merlot, studying every detail of the production process with the aim of enhancing each of its specific characteristics.

The success of this careful search for typicality is already evident in the visual analysis, to which Sintria offers its intense, brilliant ruby red colour, tinged with attractive purple hues, while the rotation of the glass shows all the consistency of its body.
On the nose you can immediately perceive the finesse of the embrace between the juicy fruity notes and the spicy tertiary sensations conferred by the refinement in tonneaux, in a gentle dance that involves hints of black cherry, purple plum and blueberry together with clove, vanilla and liquorice.
However, the tasting is the moment in which you can fully grasp, in its enveloping elegance, all the softness of Sintria: the alcoholic heat pleasantly pervades the palate, balanced by a harmonious tannin, clear but not intrusive, perfect co-star of that show that is the Sintria tasting.
The special balance between secondary and tertiary hints – perceived on the nose and perfectly recognisable also on the palate - suggests pairing Sintria with simple but well-structured dishes: rich appetizers with traditional cold cuts, first courses with red meat sauces (tagliatelle al ragù), grilled meat but also small game (hare) and medium-aged cheeses.
